8 min Energy Sequence
This Energy Sequence is made up of 5 asana sequences. We repeat each sequence 4 to 5 times in a row to cultivate fluidity, familiarity; freeing up the spine and developing flexibility and strength.
We begin the practice on the hands and knees > rounding the back and arching the back to free up the spine.
Next, we move through Forward Virasana to Downward Facing Dog Pose 5 times.
Next, we do 5 rounds of Downward Facing Dog Pose to the straight leg lunge on the right side and the left side; coming into Virabhadrasna 1 / Warrior 1 Pose on each side.
Next, we move through 5 rounds of Downward Facing Dog to Upward Facing Dog Pose.
For the last sequence we return to Downward Facing Down to Forward Virasana, to lengthen through the spine and to wind down towards resting in Forward Virasana as the final pose – or you may prefer to lie out in Savasana for a few minutes at the end of the practice.
Modify the postures as needed and only do what feels right for you.
